It's a nice little piece of software - hosting wise, with an easy interface.
There's a bit of a culture of single purpose tumblogs out there which is what I post in my tumblrweed posts. My favourite is Kim Jong Il Looking At Things...

Tumblrs seem to be more picture-y than (word-y) blogs...
