Tooth Hurty

I had a very distressing dream last night that I was fiddling with my teeth, and plunk! I accidentally pulled out my two front teeth, and also one of those canine ones.

Time to see a dentist, I'd say.

I think we've all had dreams like that - have you made it to the dentist or at least an appointment?

Oh dear, poor Ben! It takes so much to get me to go to the dentist. A nightmare like that would probably do it.

It's now 12 years and counting..

The longer you leave it the worse the fear grows. It's why one gets back on the horse after falling (assuming there's nothing seriously wrong requiring medical care).

I don't think that's a dream about teeth. I have that teeth-losing dream at least once a year - when I'm rather stressed or anxious. That and the one where I'm driving a car and the breaks won't work and so I start to lose more and more control over the vehicle. I don't think that's an underlying fear about the mechanical safety of my car.

Ooh, Deb L, I have that dream too. I just wish I had the flying one and the leaping over tall buildings and running up walls one more often. :-)

I think you're spot on, Deb.

Laetitia, I love the flying one too! I remember having it several times in primary school and once in highschool. It was so VIVID I'm sure I do actually know what it feels like to fly. But sadly, since I've been a grown up, that dream has never visited me again. However, I am glad the nasty one I used to have from time to time with the stormtroopers coming and looking for me all through my house seems to have gone away with my childhood.
