1. Your first unrequited love - I just turned 38 - I don't remember back that far. ;-)
2. A sound that makes you happy - upbeat music
3. A time-waster you'd like to cut out of your day - evidently I don't want enough to cut them out or I'd have already done so by now.
4. A process you wish you could speed up - learning anything - I want to already know it.
5. If you were to walk into a newsagent and buy a magazine, what would it most likely be about? - right now, Archaeological Diggings mag (due to a conversation at dinner with my uncle), otherwise it'd be a pixel puzzle book.

Pedro- yeah...storyboarding.

Cj-From what I can tell, it's hard to cut down on fb. I think that's why I'm scared to join- I waste too much time as it is!

Jess- yep, commuting is irksome. When I think that I do it 3 hours a day, I sigh deeply.

Karen- I quite like those country magazines too, but I tend to get a bit too covety..

Helen- In agreement with your no. 4!

Deb- I like the sound of a kettle boing too. We often think about getting a plug in one that turns off itself, but I kind of like the old school whistle of the stovetop one.

George- they make magazines about ferrets??

Kim- I'm frightened to ask what the horrible place is. But if it's the one I'm thinking of, I disagree. That's where I get most of my reading done.

Laetitia- yeah, learning is too slow!

Simone- we all seem to have such a love/hate relationship with the internet

Jo- I like the box-ticking thing. We used to pass notes that had three boxes and said 'do you love, like or hate me?' Very polarised options, but a fast way to know where you stood with eachother nonetheless.

Belle- Yes, how could you possibly NOT fancy a fella called Wilson?

Al- I envy your fishing sound

Georgina said...

Why Ben, you haven't heard of "Modern Ferret" magazine?!?!

Laetitia :-) said...

Ben, our old electric kettle died so, since we're in a place with a gas stove, I insisted on getting a whistling kettle like my parents have (they have a gas stove too). Do these do well on an electric stove?

I liked your no. 3 - I worry far too much.

Ben McLaughlin said...

Yeah, the thing about worry is that it doesn't change anything!

The kettle works fine on the electric stove, if anything it's just a tad slow. I switch it on when I first wake up in the morning, and it's just starting to whistle when I walk in the door after work..

Ben McLaughlin said...

George, on the contrary, I own the full collection. Required reading.

Ben McLaughlin said...

George- wow, I thought you were kidding!

I should've known you wouldn't joke about something like that.

Georgina said...

LOLOLOLOL I must say that I've never actually seen a copy or read it. I do however, have multiple ferret calendars from the last 10 years, complete with ferrets in awkward dress up outfits!

Ben McLaughlin said...

Ferrets in clothing. EPIC.

If you follow that link, you can actually get 30 magazines for 30 bucks! I know.

If this isn't your lucky day, I don't know what is.
