Sad News

Hey friends. Hope you are all well and have had a happy Easter. It's been a pretty rough few days for us, actually. We were about 11 weeks pregnant, and very excited about the new little life in our family, but then last week we found out that we'd had a miscarriage. E was not very well, and after a long, unpleasant day in hospital on Thursday, she has been recovering over the past few days, and we've just been spending time together as a family trying to come to terms with things, and trying to say goodbye. We know God is good, and that His plans and timing are always for our best.

I probably won't post much for a little bit, I just need to uncomplicate the week a bit while I try and find my feet and get on with things. I hopefully won't be away long.

Oh, Ben, that's very sad news. I'm really sorry.
We had a missed miscarriage (one when we only found out at a routine scan at 10 weeks that the baby hadn't developed) many years ago, before we had our other kids.

It was a tough few months. I still get sad remembering that time, even now.

Hope you can take some time to get through it and to say goodbye. Praying for you and your family.

Oh Ben - heartbroken for you and E. We had two miscarriages last year and they were such a hard and painful time for Drew and I. Will be praying for you for comfort as you grieve.

Such a very sad thing. And such a lonely grief. Makes me long for the day when there will be no more crying or tears

Grieving with you and for you, B and E!! Thanks for sharing so that we can pray for you. We lost a baby at 11 weeks at Christmas and we had a stocking hanging for our little July baby and we will hang that stocking every year as we have a family member waiting for us in heaven now. So much love to you all.

Hi Ben,
I am so far behind in my google reader that I only just saw this post. I was very saddened to hear that news, and think you have shown a certain courage posting it on your blog. Thank you for that. I will pray for you and the leadership of your family in this tough time.
