The Voice

When I saw ads for The Voice, I crossly rolled my eyes and sneered "Pff! Another talent show!".

But, I've been heavily suckered in. It's great viewing, and the blind audition concept is gold. Anyone else experiencing the joy?

Hmmmm....haven't watched more than a couple of minutes mate. Delta is just too lollipop slapper for me.
Whats with all the neo propaganda style media?! Looks very stalinesque with all the 'V' for victory posters an art direction...

I guess some genius advertising guy clued on to the amazing realisation that "Voice" starts with V as well as "Victory".

I agree though- weird.

I accidentally watched some the other day. And ended up watching the whole episode.

Definitely sharin' the joy, Ben! We hardly watch ANY television in this chapter in our lives yet this last week I was sick with the flu and Peter was exhausted with looking after the kids all day and it was on and we were and are hooked!! Love the four coaches... love the element of tension as the focus is on the voice itself. Love the moment when a chair turns. Yep, iview reruns for missed bits. Hooked. I realize that it takes a degree of courage on your part and mine to admit it.

I'm glad I'm not alone! I'm loving it. I like all the coaches too, Dawn. At first I was pretty anti-Delta, but I think I'm warming to her. She isn't the cool salesperson that Seal is, and feels kind of insecure. But fair enough. And she is just being herself, which I like. I like Joel, and Keith seems like a nice guy too.

I love the format, t's really fun. Glad there's a show to be excited about, it's been a while!

Okay, I wasn't interested. But then I found out that Darren Percival was on it, and I had to watch. Such a great performer!

I've watched the two battle rounds, and I'm hooked. So much better than Idol or BGT. A lot of actual talent. They've still got the highly irritating commercial thing of, "We'll reveal something not that interesting after the break!", which will probably drive me to YouTube after the next lot of battles. But I've got to see Darren live.

Meanwhile, for the record, I love Delta (though she'll always be Nina Tucker to me). And Joel, even if I hadn't heard of him before. And Megan Washington.

I can't remember Darren Percival, but I'll keep an eye out. I'm still loving it. The battle rounds have been great. I like all the judges, though I find the Delta/mentor Darren relationship kinda comical. After their confiding, tey'll go "I love you", "I love you too"? Serously, that's the time and place?

So far my fav. is that Laykin guy.
