1. My 'D' run in his cross country race - he looked so at ease and did so well. We had no idea he was good at running! (poor neglected fourth boy!)
2. Doing a peer group exercise where we rach had to finish the sentence: 'I wish I had......'. We were all being quite trivial and jovial till one quiet boy who had immigrated from Vietnam said, 'I wish I had a mum and a dad who were still alive.' Noone knew his parents were dead. It put our trivialities into perspective.
3. Being in the school musical with AB and becoming better friends through it.
4. Seeing little 'F' smile and hearing 'A' - 'E' laugh as they play together.
5. 'smodge'. I'm guessing I made it up.... It's a nickname I have given 'E'. She answers 'yes mummy', so I guess it works!

Pedro- Sunrise in the ocean sounds good. Must be great to see that every day.

Kim- I think that is a fair indication of your level of becoming Australianised. "Going" is a very important step in the process.

Crazyjedidiah- Yeah.. I have some vivid memories of being picked on too. High school bullies are the worst.

Wendy- What do Americans do if the toilet isn't in the same room as the bath? Conundrum.

Deb- oh yeah, the romantic tradgedies. For me year 10 was the year.

Ruth- aww, that's cute! What was the musical? Pirates of Penzance?

Karen- I'm very much looking forward to reading the Narnia series to our kids. They had a big impact on my childhood as well.

One for a wish- Thanks for doing the quiz! Your memory reminds me of a strong memory I have, of all the tough boys on the back seat of the school bus smelling like oranges.

Al-I hope you have photos of you as the Tin Man.

Ben- lol! It was a different G&S- HMS Pinafore. .... I like Pirates better though.
