Cj-I've been trying to get into some Christian bands. Mostly pretty heavy ones.

Pedro-Storyboards.. tell me about it!

Karen-I used to read a few Enid Blyton things I found on our shelf. One I remember is The Adventures of Pip. I've kept it because I like the illustrations.

Al- Oh yeah. Vom voms. It's awful when it's on sheets and blankets and you have to try and rinse it before you can put it in the machine. Gag factor is high.

Deb-I tried climbing a few times, but I was too much of a scaredy cat. And the harness thing, which felt like a big wedgie-giving nappy, threatened to stop me continuing the family line.

Simone- You and Karen need to have a Blyton Off.

George- I would have been saddened and dissappointed if you hadn't have said ferrets.

Helen-Aw, frogs are nice. My old profile picture used to be me as a kid holding a big green tree frog.

Dawn-Yuck. Chalkboards. I also can't handle squeezing cotton balls. Shudder.

Elsie-I think my favourite britpop album would be 'Modern Life Is Rubbish' by Blur. Great songs, and great cover too. Fav British Indie album is harder, as I love a lot of that.. prolly 'Nowhere' by Ride.

Helen- thanks for asking. It's much the same, but I'm not feeling quite so deteated by it, which is nice.

LOL Ben! Glad I didn't disappoint. Love your work.

You said you were trying to get into Christian bands, heavy ones, how heavy is heavy? Because I like some mildly heavy bands.

Ben McLaughlin said...

to be honest, I don't really do mild.. so if I listen to something heavy, it's HEAVY. So i won't link to those ones.

One exception though is a Mars Hill band called Kenosis. Heavyish guitars etc, but with not over the top vocals. Really worth checking out.

1. Something you'd like to learn to be really, really good at - many things; how about fabric crafts - pretty amazing for someone who hated sewing at school (probably because I was unco with a sewing machine).
2. An undone task that's likely to hang over your head and make you angsty - assignments - no 'likely' about it; I'm already angsty.
3. If you were to go on a quiz show, what would be your niche area of expertise? - Road rules.
4. Something you hate touching - squished bugs (apart from aphids 'cause they're small and I'm squishing them). I'll pick up a dead cockroach by a leg but I don't want to touch the bit where the shoe has squished it without a piece of paper between my fingers and it.
5. A strenuous activity that relaxes you. And that you enjoy. - I'm choosing not to answer this one. :-)
