1. An animated period drama exploring the lives of early colonists in Sydney. Mystery surrounds the new postmaster who keeps to himself but whose windows blaze with light in the wee hours of the morning. Meanwhile, strange items have been going missing from households. Could there be a connection?
2.The song. I think.
3. It's a postmodern critique of gender exploitation and an exploration of the balance between good and evil in the universe.
4. A postmodern critique of gender exploitation and an exploration of the balance between good and evil in the universe. Or a tale about Buddy chewing something he shouldn't have. It's a toss up really.
5. I. Have. No. Idea. I'm actually just taking things one day at a time. Stopped wishing for things - life's just too complicated.
6. Blue. No idea.
7. Chops and mashed potatoes. And we'll be dishing that with a side serving of children whining about what Mum cooks and why they don't like it this week when they were happy to eat it last week.
8. Weedy.
9. I certainly hope not. But in my darker moments...
10. The fact that I got through all 10 while spouting rubbish shows that I'll answer just about anything without judgment at all.

THanks, Belle. It was fun.

1. Special Christmas episodes of Bananas, featuring storylines like 'the one where they dress up in red and white pyjamas and then lose their blue ones and freak out because red's really not their colour' and 'the one where they try to make Christmas pudding but accidentally tip in too much brandy' and 'the one where all of the presents get lost somehow but then they realise that its each others PRESENCE that really matters and they sing a song about love and Christmas and stuff'. My son will be singing that one for months.

2. I'm going to guess it was the show that came first, for the reason below...

3. I DON'T KNOW! Why is it only on Tuesdays that the two Bananas chase teddies and catch them 'unawares'? Wouldn't the teddies be expecting it if it happens weekly, on exactly the same day?! And does the 'all' in the last line mean that there's more than one pair of Bananas, but the TV show's limited it? MAYBE Ben's working on adding more pairs of Bananas!! I'm changing my first answer.

4. I reckon Ben's next post will be about... ummmm... these questions are HARD.

5. I'm going to a great friend's wedding in Byron this weekend sans child. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

6. I used to say black, but my grandmother kindly explained that my love for black probably didn't help with my bouts of depression, so now I make a special effort to look out for non-black things. I like greens, and bluey-greens. And autumny colours. This question was hard, too.

7. We had tacos!! I looooooove tacos.

8. Quickly.

9. Then I've been focusing on the WRONG THING...

10. Me!!

1. Last minute banana action!
2. The books?
3. Mmmm...still don't even know what they are singing...
4. This quiz and it's apparent awesomeness...
5. The impending birth of my second son...
6. Green. Dunno.
7. Salmon fillets with greens and sweet potato
8. Via the mothe n law
9. Then you should put away the hallucinogens
10. Ummmm...sorry. Yes. Thanks for the sweet try though!

One for a wish.. said...

1. Secret squirrel business.
2. Song..remember it from Playschool...ages ago...
3. It's actually a coded message by anti-monarchists, against the ruling powers.
4. Ummm...
5. Heaven...and wouldn't mind a bit of peace and quiet here on earth!
6. Blue...can't go past the colour of the sky..
7. Lamb chops and veggies too!
8. With very little help from me..but I have a whopper zucchini plant growing, so it's not all bad.
9. This raises the question, "what is the Hokey Pokey REALLY about?"
10. Appreciate the efforts of everyone, really.

1. Storyboards of some sort.
2. Definitely the song, it was written by Enid Blyton's son.
3. Not entirely sure, it sounds kind of like a nonsense song to me.
4. How bad he has become at blogging and how busy he is.
5. Jesus return.
6. Green, probably because I have green eyes.
7. Probably left over chicken and noodles.
8. Not that well actually.
9. Another nonsense song about dancing.
10. I do but this was kinda fun.

Do you know, these quiz answers are even more fun if you forget which answer was for which question and they get all muddle in your head?

1. I think there must be some highly urgent banana deadlines looming....
2. The song. I remember singing it as a kid long before I ever saw them on TV.
3. I wish I knew. The whole thing about chasing the teddies is really pretty weird when you actually think about the lyrics rather than just singing them mindlessly....
4. Why he hasn't been posting.
5. Right now...summer holidays. Long stretches of reading books, swimming, sleeping and other fun stuff uninterrupted by boring things like doing the school run or the housework.
6. Blue. But red is starting to grow on me more as I age. I still couldn't wear it though.
7. Beef curry. In the slow cooker right now.
8. I think I've loved a few of my plants to death. But today I have had an offer of some free tomato plants in pots to replace the ones I managed to kill off. So I'm hoping it's about to get a lot better.
9. Scary thought. I'm hopelessly unco-ordinated so I like to think the world is about more than dancing.
10. No judgements here either. Thanks for covering for him :)

Deb, I like your muddled question/answer idea! A couple of examples:

What are you having for dinner tonight? Last minute banana action!

What if the hokey-pokey really is what it’s all about? I. Have. No. Idea. I'm actually just taking things one day at a time. Stopped wishing for things - life's just too complicated.

You've all done very well to make a bad quiz enjoyable! Let's hope Ben's animated period drama/ Christmas present making/Banana-related work settles down soon! This feels a little like hanging out in someone else's home while they're away...

The original Banana's clip from Playschool. Definitely more than 2 bananas.
