Baby Bellison

We are struggling a bit to think of a name for our little #3. One of us will optimistically put forth a suggestion only to be snidely poo pooed by the other.

Meanwhile, Little e is fighting to have input into the decision making process. Her suggestion is Bellison, which is some kind of frankensteined amalgam of her two favourite names, Allison and Bella.

And here I thought from the title that it was a mock-up name for 'Son of my Belly'. :-)

We had that issue when #3 of the same sex arrived here. Finding another couple of boys' names that we both liked wasn't easy. It ending up taking a day or two after he was born for us to actually decide on his name.

We have plenty of girls' names going spare here though! And I am a little sad we will never have a little Erin, Bridie or Imogen running around here now ;)

I once read about a little girl wanting her future sibling to be named things like "Apple Tree" or "Chocolate", so at least Little e's suggesting usable options! I like Allison and Bella (although Bella may still be super popular - not sure if that phase is over yet) (or whether you care about popularity!).

Some sites for (potential) inspiration:

and this last one may just be for obsessive namers like myself, but: http://swistlebabynames.blogspot.com.au/

One of our kids was named "Coconut" by an older sibling prior to birth...

We sometimes still call her "Rosie Coconut" in memory of those days :)

"Rosie Coconut" is very cute! A future blog name, perhaps? :)

Or band name! Or brand name!

I'm giving up now.

Laetitia- Wow, son of my belly.. I like it. My name means 'son of my right hand', so it would work well with that.

Karen- yep, we have a plethora of awesome boy names that'll most likely go to waste. ps Rosie Coconut:)

Belle- thanks for the links, me and E were looking intently at them last night

Little F was called 'sunshine unicorn' whilst in utero, and I do often still call him that....so Bellison may stick around longer than you think!!

Lol about the plethora of boy's names! I'm like that with girl's names I didn't get to use!!

Sunshine Unicorn has a good ring to it!
