Little i: 'When I grow up to be an Aunty, you won't be the boss of me and I'll get ice creams every day.'
It wasn't even said in angry defiance, but just as a gentle aside in mid-conversation, like a happy little realisation that she had stumbled upon.

I think Rosie's highest ambition in life at this moment is to be able to push the little mini trolley in Coles. There's only one. Mostly some other little kid has grabbed it and is running around with it.
Days like today where she got to use it are like the pinnacle of happiness in her little world.
Ah the simplicity of youth!
She's trusting that Little e or No. 3 will have children in order to grow up 'to be an aunty'. I wonder if the other two will realise just how crucial they are to the success of this dream. :-)
