yeah i do. At the moment it looks a lot more like manky rotting vegetables than anything else though.

Go over and tell them that if they find they have too much you'll happily take some off their hands. Often those sorts of things (mulch, soil) have a minimum amount that can be bought and delivered and may be too much for the home-owner's purposes (as we found when we once ordered some soil).

Oh, and maybe ask where they got it, how much they paid etc. so you can offer some $, if they seem amenable to letting you have some, to show what a really good neighbour you are. That way they are more likely to let you 'share' their pile in future.
