Captains Log

You know that thing how the Tardis is really small on the outside but inside is big? Well that's our VW Golf. We discovered the other day that we can actually fit the two car seats AND the baby capsule along the back seat. Yeah baby.

So, the car is still a priority, but it's not such an urgency now, which is a relief. It wasn't fun trying to choose something with the clock ticking. By the way, we've pretty much decided on the Toyota Avensis. We like it a lot. Just trying to find the right used one out there.. good miles, right price.

Bubba Mk3 is due in five days. Eek. So excited about meeting this beautiful little girl.. I can't wait to hold her in my arms, and bring her home, give her a bath, and dress her in a warm little suit. Can't wait. It's been four years since we had a newborn, so we are probably going to be a bit rusty. Those new ones are very small and breakable if I remember correctly.

In the meantime, your prayers for my E and my little girl are highly valued. Thanks.

Well, you know that we are all excited too :) So don't keep us in suspense for too long when she does arrive!

Impressive that you can fit all three seats across the back seat of a Golf! You are right though, some of those smaller cars are deceptively roomy on the inside. Last weekend, we finally acquired a second car after a few months without one, it's a Honda Jazz, specially chosen for my vertically oversized husband. It feels huge inside, I'm quite surprised really. We hope it will last until our older kids start learning to drive in years to come, and if they too grow tall, we will need plenty of space in there!

Thanks Karen:) Yeah I saw a Jazz the other day in our street, it did look surprisingly roomy. Thankfully we are a family of shorties.
