Dear Ben, In retirement I have been trying to paint and have found that you need ABILITY,INSPIRATION AND DIRECTION. You seem to have all 3. My daughte Jenny T gave me your 'sight' for inspiration and I love your paintings - they remind me of Clarice Beckett and have read your info to find you like here work too. Keep painting - and little e is a real winner!!!
Regards Carolyn.

Thankyou so much, Carolyn, I only just discovered your comment. I think that is probably the best compliment that I have ever gotten--that my paintings reminded you of Clarice Beckett!! She is my absolute favourite painter-so underrated. To me, she was as much a genius as Monet.

Thanks so much for yr nice words, and keep painting. I think as long as you have inspiration (i get mine from looking at books by painters i like) you can drag the ability and direction along for the ride:)
