I often read on peoples blogs that they have decided to moderate or not moderate their comments. Out of curiosity I have turned on the setting that allows anyone to leave a comment, without having to sign in or anything. My one request is that if anyone does leave a comment, that they sign their name.
I am pretty new to the whole blog thing--have people had good or bad experiences in regards to this setting??

Yes, I am back to allowing all commments. Problem is that people WON'T leave their name if they don't want to. I haven't had much trouble, except spammers who say "here is that website I was telling you about..." and then add in the link to their "make money at home scheme" - and then one comment that I thought was totally suggestive and full of innuendos, and it turns out it wasn't :).

Hi ali- Oh right, I had not thought about spam..that sounds really irritating. well I will give it a trial run, and if I end up in somebodys' pyramid scheme, I'll hit 'moderate' again!

As someone who isn't so computer and net savvy, I've found it much easier typing my name in rather than logging in, thanks bro.
