Brrrrrr

It's a cold one this morning. The bus was like a refrigerator.

I took this photograph out the bus window, driving down Parramatta Road.

It's strange that the water can be so much warmer than outside. I just assume that if the morning is freezing, the water will be too. I guess there are exceptions though... remember that morning at Clovelly? That was the coldest I have EVER been!

I think because the water in the pool area is relatively stored and subsequently allowed to conform more to the air temp around it. THAT was freezing..I have never felt water that cold...EVER. I do wear a wetsuit though now and that hides the cold a bit. But the ocean is a big mass of water mate and it has to slowly change that amount of water temperature. Having said that, you get cold underwater currents that creep in summer sometimes where from one day to the next, the temp could drop 5 - 6 degrees...That catches you offguard!!
I miss those early morning adventures we used to have...

Yeah me too. Those were awesome times. It was such a satisfying way to start off the day. It felt great to get to work, and feel as though we'd done so much already. And getting to work in one piece after my life flashed before me sitting on the back of your bike zooming thru the harbour tunnel... that made me appreciate life even more!

It makes me laugh when I think about that Clovelly morning. We dove in and basically could barely move.. And then the shower was just as cold! Fresh!

Wow do I feel bad for you blokes (is that how you spell it?) Down Under today! Here in the Northern Hemisphere it is a perfect 25C/77F with very low humidity and a nice breeze.

Of course you can mock me in 6 months when I am complaining about the lack of sunlight we get in Michigan throughout the winter!

Trish, it's this special stretch that you can only get to via an old wardrobe.

Lu, I am envious of your warm weather.. But I'm sure yr winters are way colder than ours. You get snow, we don't. If it gets down to 15 degrees here we walk around with massive coats and scarves.
