Dark Ages, Please.

I hate having brochures shoved in my face at train stations or on the street, especially when the person blocks your path and pretty much won't take no for an answer.

This morning I had a bloke step right in front of me, waving a newspaper of some sort in my face yelling 'prosperity or dark ages-- the choice is yours, sir!!'

I would think that you wave the right to use the word 'sir' if you jump in front of someone and yell at them. On the other hand, everybody has something they want to share/sell, and how else are you going to get people to hear you out? Is there any other way than to get in someone's face and yell at them?
