I can't wait for Spring. Only a few weeks to go. I love Spring; the smell of blooming jasmine, the sound of people mowing their lawns, the warmer weather. Ahhh.
I like the fact that I was born on the last day of Winter-- I was born to love Spring! It's cool-- I have my birthday, and then the day after, I wake up and there is all of Spring, Christmas and Summer ahead of me. Perfect.
What's your favourite time of year, and what things come to mind when you picture that time?

Autumn! (which funnily enough is when I celebrate my birthday). I love the colours of the trees, and particularly like early Autumn when the days are still warm but the nights are nice and barmy and it isn't humid like Summer.
I'm with Aimee on this one. Autumn rocks! the weather patterns change and the storms down in the southern ocean gain strength and consistency but the water is still warm enough to not have to wear a wetsuit. Offshore mornings and groomed swells...mmmmmmm
Winter through july is pretty good for the same reason..just colder.
Obviously you don't get hayfever Ben!:)
My perfect weather is jeans and tshirt weather - so Autumn or Spring. I do love Autumn for the same reasons you mentioned Aimee.
But then, I also love the start of Spring because that's traditionally my favourite time to go to the markets. There's a feeling of optimism in the air, and I get excited by the unknown possibilities which lay ahead. ah yes, bring on spring, and let the fog of this winter lift from my life.
Yeah, I like Autumn too.. but I guess for me it's a bit like boxing day. It's still Christmas, and you're having a great day, but deep down you know Christmas is nearly over, and tomorrow will just be another ordinary boring day. What I'm getting at (very slowly) is that Autumn is bittersweet because I know winter is next, and I find winter kinda depressing.
summer! Beaches, the smell of sunscreen, blue skies, christmas parties, long nights and al fresco dining. Plus its my birthday!
Oregon has such a nice climate - so I really love every season. My favorite time of year is right when spring is giving way to summer. The spring rain having made everything green and lush combined with summer's beginning warmth are the days where I love to go out hiking, camping, or just mess around in my garden.
I like it, Soph. Especially the long nights (or is that long days..) and al fresco dining. Ahhh. Eating outside, drinking wine, chatting, in the balmy night with the sound of cicadas in the background--it doesn't get much better than that.
Hi Esther-- I've never met any body from Orogon before.. actually not too sure where in the States it is.. You paint a nice picture of it, it sounds great.
