The Most Vile Creature in Creation

The cockroach used to be my most loathed creature of all creation, but after the weekend, we have a new winner.

While we dressing little e we noticed something on her back. It was dark, and raised, and it was a bit red and puffy around it. E thought it was a scab, and I thought it was a splinter. We got some tweezers to pull it out, and discovered it was a small tick. You could see it's little legs.

It made me shudder, the thought off this vile thing burrowing into my little girl's back. Yuck. The following day I found another one in my thigh. Then we were all searching ourselves with paranoia, suddenly scratching at imagined itches.

Anyway hopefully there will be no side effects or anything. I looked them up on the net just now, and came to hate them even more. There were lots of pictures, but I couldn't stomach the thought of putting one on this post. They are too repugnant. I discovered they are actually arachnids rather than insects. Also, they have a 'harpoon like barb' that they attach to the 'host' while they 'feed' for 'several days'. Filthy little things.

Disgusting. I hate roaches and ticks about the same. I am grateful that I haven't had to deal with either of them for awhile.
