Was Jesus Funny?

Yep.

I think that there is a case to be made that Jesus was dynamic. And he certainly uses irony and hyperbole. Perhaps you can say he is cheeky and says things with a twinkle in his eye.

But to argue that he is downright 'funny' is a stretch, I think. He may have got some laughs, but we cannot be sure.

However, I think that Mark Driscoll is funny, which is what you are seeing in that Youtube.

I actually think that this Youtube proves that Mark is funnier than Jesus!

Justin, you have a point. I think maybe a better way of saying it is that rather than Jesus being funny, He used humour in His own way. He was obviously amazingly smart and clever, and I think used this sort of cleverness to say things that had humour under the surface.

Interesting. I don't have any friends who don't make me laugh and since I have a friend in Jesus....
