yeah, that's a very good point, Soph.

Also notice how crazy and futuristic that red suit must have been at the time. He must have gotten some funny looks from the shepherds.

I don't know what to think about that. I have been having my own problems merging secular and Christian 'Christmas'. As a Christian, it is all about Jesus, but for my family it is tradition, recipes, decorations, songs, mythical stories, and spending time together. Which to me seems like a dull imitation of the real thing. I guess to them a Baby/King/Savior/God is just as fanciful as an old guy flying around passing out toys.

yeah, I agree it's hard to reconcile the two. I think ideally we can enjoy all those traditions and stuff, but still keep the focus as remembering Jesus' birth. That is the ultimate reason to celebrate, have fun, be with our loved ones.
