The Worst Movie Ever

We watched what was essentially the worst movie I have ever seen. August Rush.

Words can't describe how much I loathed this steaming pile of nastiness. Horrible premise, horrible script, horrible directing, horrible, sappy acting. Terrible.

I knew I was in for trouble when the review quote on the cover said 'the feel good movie of the year'. Au contraire.

That can't possibly be the worst movie ever. The worst movie ever is "Big Stan". Some less than discerning friends brought it round for a movie night.

I genuinely believe this is why a secret ninja society killed David Carradine.

But at least David C movies are kinda trashy in a fun kitsch way.. this was just horrid, soppy, contrived caca.

I must have failed to mention that the star of this "epic" was Rob Schneider, and the entire plot was driven by his fear of being sexually assaulted in prison.

It scored 13% on Rotten Tomatoes - while August Rush got 37%.

So if you want August Rush to maintain its position as the worst movie you've ever seen - don't see Big Stan.

oh, that Rob S was in the movie was a big ommission. He is evil incarnate.

But I still hold that that was purpously in bad taste, and kind of aware of it's own crapness. This August Rush movie on the other hand thought it was so life-affirming and wonderful, but really was like the demonic love child of Hallmark and Anne Geddes.

I recently wrote a post on "movies everyone loves but I hate" and wanted to include this movie, but didn't because I have a few friends who love this movie.

I thought the movie was just okay when I first watched it, but the more I thought about it, the more I disliked it. It was schmaltzy, pretentious, boring and uninspiring (the "uninspiring" bit magnified by how much the movie tried to be inspiring). Anything that claims to heal by the power of music can't be good.

But worst movie of all time has to be The Women. Have you or E seen it? Don't!

I haven't seen it, but just looked it ub, and part of the blurb says- 'Manhattan socialites whose primary interest was idle gossip.'

Sounds like a real blast.

Lol....everybody's entitled to their opinion. Now, just don't get started on The Women....another one I liked!
