Let The Right One In

I saw this fillum recently. It is a Swedish vampire movie, and pretty dark, but it is also amazingly touching and really pretty awesome. A beautiful little love story.

Way better than all that Twilight poop. Sadly there is going to be an unnecessary American remake.

4/5

Ben - have you actually read any of the 'Twilight poop'? Just sayin - cause you're pretty down on it.

Okay, you found me out, Lu. But it's an educated guess.

Have you read them? What did you think?

Great flick benno..

you wait, Beyonce will play the slightly older and more maturish vampire and Justin Timberlake will be blondey...

Yeah that's what I was thinking too-- they won't be able to leave the non-creepy, non-sexual aspect of them just being a couple of kids. It's not 'sexy' enough, they'll have to make them 'hot teens'.

Glad you liked it too- often we don't see eye to eye on our scary movies.

Yes (she sheepishly admits) I have read them. I found them entertaining. Definitely written to the teenage girl audience. The basic premise is that this human girl and vampire guy fall in love even though they shouldn't. I saw the first movie but I don't remember much of what I thought of it. So I guess it didn't make any great impression on me! :)

I can certainly see why you don't think highly of them - they are hyped up too much. And I would guess you probably wouldn't care for it if you read it.

For me, this vindicates my use of the term 'poop'.

I'll most definitely have to check this movie out...i am a big fan of the vampire...one of my friends almost disturbingly so...i have made the effort to read the Twilight books, but found them TOO geared towards the teenage girl, which i didn't care for, and actually thought that she drew things out WAY too long...i think i skimmed most of the second book, and didn't even finish it, but i did enjoy the first movie, and am looking forward to the second....
sorry.

Don't apologise, I' sure there's likable stuff in there. But I can just imagine it really not being my cup of tea.

I love vampire stuff too. Don't expect Let The Right One In to be your typical vampire movie (if there is one), it's really quite unusual, and unlike anything I've seen. I had no real expectations of what it was, and so really enjoyed it.

Benno...as much as i don't see the ttraction for the 'try light' series..There looks like some good werewolf action in the second one..
Gotta love that stuff!

You should read the book. It's called "Let Me In". Even darker than the movie
