Soph- Yeah, I kind of got indoctrinated with indie music from a young age, from my older bro. But indie peeps are kind of annoying, and think they know every important thing about music. Like I do! So I try not to use the 'i' word anymore..

By the way, I'd be interested to see some of your artistic endeavours.

Thora- The thing about thrash, is that it is sometimes just too awesome for the average punter to withstand. You need to take sips in order to build up a tolerance.

Wow, I envy you guys who did 3 unit english. I really wanted to, and started doing it, but then bombed out. I regret that. I also really regret not doing history.

Goldy- Another low blow about metal. That's ok, I can take it.I'm hard like that.

I'd like to read the Kite Runner. looks good.

Pedro- Been hanging to see Inglorious Basterds.. What did you think?

Wow, I didn't know you did theatre..

Simone- I hear ya. There needs to be more producers, especially of Christy music, that don't opt for the cheese vibe. Or the supposed 'bit grungy' vibe to be edgy. You know the only Christy music I can really handle is Kieth Green? His music and the production of his music to me is something that's never been matched.

Simone the problem with being a producer is you don't always get to have full control like you want and somehow those dated guitar licks still end up on the recording and you can't do anything about it, no matter how much you kick and scream.

7 I think.
Tabitha and Endora were my first 2 (which I got in Jan/Feb 1999) - Dora died of insulinoma in 2005, Tabitha of old age in 2006. When Dora died I got Smokey and Bandit. Bandit died of cardiomyopathy in July 2007, and then I got Dolly, who killed herself overdosing on my medication on my birthday. Then I got Rusty (Oct 2007). Beginning of this year Smokey died, of cancer, and I got Buster.

A well ferret will live until 6-8, but sometimes they will die sooner, like Bandit and Dolly.

Buster is my first boy ferret. He is almost 2, and Rusty is 3.

4. A book you really liked - many fit this bill so I'll give you one - Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery

Ben McLaughlin said...

Sophg- Wow an anethetists' son. I like it. You studied in year 7? Wow I don't hink I studied until year 10 at the earliest.

Georgina- Wow. Seems to me life as a ferret lover is filled with a lot of loss! I don't know if I could handle that. I'd need a pet that would outlast me. Maybe a galapogus turtle..

Mq2- Welcome! Histories of Herodotus- that's pretty hardcore of you. Nice work with bagging your fella back in the day. And happy birthday!

ChrisL- Oh man, I remember Bottersnikes and Gumbles! I had that as a boy. It sort of scared me a bit, actually.

Em- ha! Tom Bombadill! Yeah that was a rough few chapters that bit. Go on your quest already, you silly little hobbits. Why are you wasting your time with that weird old fella and lolly-gagging around at the Prancing Pony?

Milika- Ahh, German metal. Close to my heart. My personal favourite is Kreator. High five your brother for me.

Maso- I really wasn't wondering, but thanks. My wife said the same thing though. I do however sense that you protesteth too much about the crying.. Go on, let it out, brother.

ruth- I think you would have been good at those professions. Wow, it's crazy to think of A being just a little bub 10 years ago, and of you guys being just a family of 3!

Beth- Cool that you worked as a screenprinter. I did some of that in my degree and enjoyed it. Found it a bit stressful as the results always seemed unpredictable.

Laetitia- Did you get past Tom Bombadil in LOTR? Yeah, I reckon having a small business would be very satisfying, if you knew what you were doing, but highly stressful if you didn't..

Laetitia :-) said...

I got lost in the prologue - I'm told that one shouldn't bother with it but I don't own a copy to try again with it (and who knows whether I get it back to a public library on time simply on the basis that I don't have much time to read at the moment). One day I might try borrowing it from someone else.
