I don't really understand those people who hate 'bugs'. I like bugs.
It saddens me that all the insects get lumped in together, so a cockroach gets the same standing as a beetle. Cockroaches are vile demonic beings, whereas beetles are just nice little fellas who want to say hello.
The Bible actually says we are to like insects. Consider this-
All flying insects that walk on all fours are to be detestable to you. (Leviticus 11:20)
You have read this in the past and said, 'aha, yay I can hate those little guys'. But think for a minute. This is a cryptic text. No insect walks on all fours, unless it has lost a couple of limbs in a skiing accident or something. Insects have six legs. They walk on all sixes.
So you need to read between the lines, and see this as a call to love.
You don't need to get all John The Baptist and start eating them, but you should at least consider giving them a friendly pat now and again.

lol! You are too funny.
LOLOLOLOL Often I write LOL, but I don't actually Laugh Out Loud. But at that, I did. And yes, I was by myself, which makes it all the more funny. lol.
Oh I should add, I did get quite a strange look from a ferret.
I take exception to the beetles that EAT my PLANTS!!! But the others, apart from non-native cockroaches, are ok.
So it's a question of ownership then? You hate them because you are unwilling to share? They are YOUR plants? Come now. God provides for the beetle too.
All You Need Is Love sayeth The Beatles.
Coincidence? I don't think.
Ah, but I didn't say that they were MY plants. I'll be lucky to get one tomato out of the six bushes I planted because of beetle attack.
And I've never been a Beatles fan.
You did too! It wasn't in capitals, but there was a 'my' there!
You're trolling, Ben; but I'll play.
I was highlighting that I hadn't big noted the 'my' but the 'eating...plants'.
Oh sure, they have to eat, but if they don't leave at least one tomato for me, there won't be any seed for future crops.
OK, I concede that my beetle friends have something to learn about planning for the future. But maybe this just shows a deeper relience on God's provision:)
Hey, what is this 'trolling' business? I've seen a few people write that, what's it mean?
"Trolling" is internet / usenet speak for baiting someone to get a written reaction. It tends to lead to flame wars, whereupon the troll sits back, laughs and throws in a grenade every so often to keep things going.
Gosh. And you'd accuse little old me of such a deplorable act..
/\/\/\/\/\/\ Well done.
yea, yea, yea....i still don't like bugs - especially spiders!
