We just watched The Mist at work, over a couple of lunch breaks. It was a fairly decent horror movie, with some stuff to like about it. It was an adaptation of a Stephen King story, so it had that familiar feel that is in lots of his stuff.Some decent characters and dialog, and nicely shot, but I found it too CGI heavy, and because of that, the monsters didn't really scare me that much. 3/5

Agree with yuh Beno. If it had good CG it would have been a cracker of a movie.

Hicksy seems to think it wasn't the amount of CG but the quality that was the issue - do you agree?
Haven't seen the movie, but am interested in what you think the role of CG in movies should be.
