My wedding ring is sitting at home on the kitchen table.
It's amazing how naked, insecure, un-confident and strange I feel without it on. I feel like I'm walking around with my fly undone.

I know it's just a piece of metal, but I find there is something about this post that made me go all warm and fuzzy-like.
Yeah, I felt that way too (and sometimes still do) when I put aside my rings.
No, I am still married; yes, we are happy. I just have circulation problems and got tired of taking the rings off when I went to bed or did some gardening so, esp. now that it's summer, they are staying off indefinitely.
I've considered wearing them on a chain but I change necklaces from day to day, and besides, my skin is currently interacting badly with all my chains at the moment.
Chris hardly ever wears his because he doesn't want to lose a finger at work (either did my Dad) so I'm used to him not wearing it.
(My uncle is minus one finger due to a wedding ring, so we're pretty flexible with the concept!)
