E and I had a nice night on Saturday seeing the musical, Wicked at the Capitol Theatre and having dinner at a Korean restaurant.
The musical was really good. Very well done, and really entertaining. I'd say the first two thirds were a bit stronger than the last section. Truth be told, I was nodding off there for a fair portion. Nice to go and do something a bit different though.
The night was a little soured by the fact that afterwards we spent an hour trapped five floors down towards the Earth's core in a hot, fumy, claustrophobic underground carpark for no apparent reason.
But all in all: good night.

Glad you were able to enjoy a night out, and that you had positive things to say about the musical. Will now have to keep an eye out for it.
Re: carpark - you've either got to get to your car really fast or just wait around outside going window-shopping for a while.
thanks Beth-- yeah, definitely worth trying to see, it was really fun.
Laetitia- yeah, we got to our car really quickly, but we were on the very bottom level, so it took FOREVER for everyone above us to turn out onto the busy street. We just were kicking ourselves for not going for a cuppa instead.
