Away With Gratefulness

You know what word I don't like? 'Gratefulness'.

I don't get why the word exists, when there's a better, nicer to say one that suits the purpose: 'Gratitude'.

Shoot me down if I'm wrong, but don't they mean the same thing? To me 'gratefulness' sounds like a kind of made up word.

Maybe its real meaning is how much it grates on one's nerves. :-)

My current dislike is a misuse of "your" as in "your correct of course"!

And humbleness as well...isn't "humility" the right word to use instead??

Laetitia- Good call

Wendy- I offend a bit here by never being sure where the comma goes in 'you're'

Karen- YES!! I think I dislike humbleness even more than gratefulness. Humility sounds so much better.
