It irks me the way you can almost see the media rubbing their hands together with glee about the floods. News fodder for weeks.
And also the one upping rubbish: 'channel such and such, the ONLY dependable news source for the floods'.
I was watching Channel 7 last night, and the self promotion almost outweighed the actual coverage itself. "Our Channel 7 crew were first on the scene when.... and overhead the Channel 7 chopper exclusively saw... Channel 7 this, Channel 7 that.
Who cares.

The locals are also getting sick of sightseers. I've heard one put up a sign, along the lines of, Don't just gawk, come and help.
