Sick and Toothless

Things are quiet because me and the fam are all sick. It's been pretty sucky. And to top it off, you know how I had that dream about my teeth falling out? Last night a big tooth chunk fell out while I was eating popcorn. I thought it was a kernel and swallowed it. I'm not happy.

Hopefully back to regular programming soon, friends.

(a) Have you been to the dentist / made an appointment yet?
(b) Sure it was a tooth chunk and not a filling chunk? I had a filling chunk come out (didn't swallow it though) one time and had the whole filling replaced with a new product that matched my tooth's colour better.

At least the tigers aren't toothless...

I don't envy you the final stages of that tooth's journey...

That happened to me with a sherbert bomb once. The tooth went a couple of years later, and now I have braces to close the gap, because my unbalanced jaw locked shut. But I'm sure you'll be fine.

Deep buckets of compassion all round!! We are still in the throes of illness here, too. I have lost count of how many weeks it has been since we have all been fully well.
I lost a huge chunk out of my back tooth -- ended up being a filling -- but I need to feel like I am about to die in order to take the initiative and go to the dentist. I think I am still waiting for my parents to drive me or something. I am 38. I know I need to grow up. Anyway, avoiding getting the filling taken care of meant that I had to have a root canel about 2 years later when it started to really ache. You should learn from my mistakes. Then at least some good will come from my dentistphobia.
