Huh?

Was I the only one thinking who the heck is Justin Beiber?

Maybe I'm just getting old.

You're not the only one. But his display yesterday was breathtaking... for the teenage girls crushed in the mob.

I had no idea who he was, until talking to some kids from church on sunday, and even then I had to google him. I'm getting old!!

I think being over the age of 17 rules you out of knowing who on earth he is.

But from the small snippet of music I heard I was quite happy that I hadn't been exposed earlier...

I think we should be less judgemental of the youth of today. Let's consider the lyrics of the chorus of his hit song--

Baby, baby, baby, oh
Like, baby, baby, baby, oh,
Like, baby, baby, baby

There's, like, something in that for all of us.

I knew who he was, but consider him to be forgettable considering i'm not fourteen years old....

The SMH article gives an interesting insight... this is a quote from a ten year old.

"I like Justin 'cause he’s hot. He's got a fantastic body and a great voice."

That's funny- those are the same reasons I like him

I'm way ahead of you, Ben. My FB status last night;
Has anyone else never heard of Justin Bieber? Is this that moment in my life where popular culture passes me by and I am forever consigned to reminiscing and watching an endless stream of bands that are reforming? I watch Glee, doesn't that mean I'm not past it?

I got some interesting replies including;
I'd never heard of him before today either Zac.
I prefer to think that we are passing popular culture by - rather than the other way around. ;-)

To be fair his target market is 10-16 year old girls...so I think it is OK for you to not know about him...

time to start listening to 2WS mate - they cater for people like you, nothing new, promise!

So Ben, 2WS?
