1. Carpet or floorboards (sorry, I'm in home renovation mode) - floorboards - cleaning is so much easier in a place with only floorboards and tiles (bathroom) or concrete (laundry) than when we lived in a place of half carpet and half lino. But then, I live in Queensland where I only want a rug for a short part of the year anyway. Joanna - I so hear you on the UK obsession with carpeted wet areas - the sink in our flat over there leaked all over the kitchen floor (fortunately it was carpet tiles and autumn so we could haul them outside to dry).
2. One thing you'd add to your daily routine, were time and money no object - flying lessons, reading books and working on assorted craft. Oh, you said one thing...umm.
3. If I had my way, I'd never....again be woken up by the neighbour's truck.
4. I'm constantly forgetting..to go to bed at a sensible time.
5. Last thing you watched on DVD - no idea - possibly Lars and the Real Girl.

1. Carpet. Floorboards are unforgiving, in many ways.
2. Personal trainer.
3. If I had my way, I'd never take public transport again. I'm sick of my knees getting numb and just feeling too tall for it.
4. I'm constantly forgetting people's names. Humiliating.
5. The Reader. Beautiful, sad, thought-provoking.

4. where my phone, purse, rings and keys are.

1. Floorboards, they are heaps easier to look after and look much better. I really dislike the maintenance of our three carpeted rooms.
2. A daily swim in summer, a daily trip to the gym in winter. Once or twice a week is not enough to make any difference to my stress or fitness levels.
3. Clean a bathroom again.
4. Extended family member's birthdays. Which always makes me feel bad when they remember ours.
5. South Solitary (Australian film about lighthouse keeping)

Guthers- Yeah, what gunz I'd sport if I had a personal trainer..

CrazyJed-Have you seen the Where The Wild Things Are movie? I just saw it recently and really liked it.

Soph-Hear Hear for #3. You go to the gym 4 times a week? Epic.

Nathan-Oh yeeeeaaaah 45 mins in a cafe would rock.

Joanna-Carpeted toilet? That's foul.

Al- I get to do #2 because of my train ride to work. But I can never concentrate to read more than a page or so.

Pedro- Spiders to you are what telephones are to me!

Laetitia- With you on #4

Milika-Wow, what kind of martial arts?

Kim- We are very different. I'd rather do most things than go on a rollercoaster!

George-Yes, but carpet is TOO forgiving. Think of all that gross old hair and nail clippings and lint and ferret fur that's just going unseen..

Maso- the media seems to be with you there on #4. They're LOVING it.

Simone- Yeah, lets ban paperwork for ever.

Karen-I like your #2 answer. Excersise is such a good stress relief.

Beth- Yes, stress is pointless, something that's not even necessary. It's gained me nothing!

Wendy- #2 a kindred spirit. Imagine those supple shoulder muscles...ahhh.
