Speech Diary

Last night I did my second 'manual speech' at Toastmasters, a 7 minute speech in which I told this story. I was really, really pleased with how it went- I stayed fluent throughout, and got a lot of positive feedback.

Now to try and rein in some of that fluency and confidence for my everyday conversations...

Hey Ben,

I saw The King's Speech last week. Question - do you know of any families where stutters run in the family?

Well done on the length of your speech and being fluent!

Thanks guys.

Laetitia- yes, there is strong evidence that stuttering is in a persons genes, and that there is a hereditary factor.

There is stuttering in my family, my grandad stuttered as a boy. Also my twin nephews have stuttering issues.
