Got a Spare $37.3 Million?

This late Monet painting, Le Bassin Aux Nympheas (1919) is up for sale.

Anyone want to go go in with me?

I don't have the money - but I wouldn't mind owning the painting!!

But, then I suppose just the mere security and insurance on the painting would probably make it too expensive for me to own, even if I was given it!!

Exactly. It would all be a bit hard and stressful--better off going and buying a nice $30 Monet Calendar..

Hang on! Let me just go and umm...withdraw money from the bank (but I might just need a mask and a firearm). It is a wonderful painting though. Monet is MUCH better in reality than in any prints we are ever likely to come across...T0T

Yeah, definately, AY. I discovered this when I saw one of his haystack paintings recently. I couldn't believe how beautiful it was in the flesh
