To Hell With The Devil

How do you like your 80's Christian heavy metal? Yellow and stripey, thanks.

Lairdy apparently likes a bit of pre-breakfast Stryper-- he sent me
this link at 7:25am this morning. Seriously, Lairdy, who is searching Youtube for Stryper at 7:25am?

But, come on, who said Christian music wasn't edgy? Hello, they spell their name with a Y instead of an I.. What more do you want?

A bit of context please Ben - we were talking about them last night after all;)

And in case you want to sing along...

Speak of the devil
He's no friend of mine
To turn from him is what we have in mind

Just a liar and a thief
The word tells us so
We like to let him know
Where he can go

[Chorus]
To hell with the devil
To hell with the devil

When things are going wrong
You know who to blame
He will always live
Up to his name

He's never been the answer
There's a better way
We are here to rock you
And to say...

[Repeat Chorus]

apologies, mate. Yes we did speak of it.....but 7:30?:)

I particularly like the last stanza. Very rousing. Maybe we should sing it at morning church. I reckon it would go down well.

Ditto - the last stanza is my favourite too! Hmmm...at morning church you say? Only if we could play the videoclip too.

yeah, could play the clip. But I'm thinking a stripped down congegational version-- maybe just acoustic guitar and bongos.
