Well hello, and welcome back. Happy 2009! It's nice to get back to the blog after a couple of weeks away. I feel like I have a hundred little posts in my head, but I'll have to get them in order and put them down over the next little while.It's my first day back at work, and it feels a bit crap to be sitting in this chair again, but I'm trying to stay positive and be grateful that I have a job to provide for my family. Things in general feel pretty different in January than they did in December. In December I let everything wind down, and didn't worry too much.
I had a mentality of 'I'll deal with it next year'. But now it is 'next year', and all these things are right here on my doorstep. That feels a bit daunting, but I'm trying to put things in place now so that I can deal with these things.
There is a positive feeling that I have at the start of the year too. Last year is gone. The mistakes I made can stay in that previous chapter. Now is a fresh start, and a time for looking ahead.
