That is very interesting. I think my husband drags the average down a bit. He thinks for a while between his words. It sometimes makes me quite impatient.
I kinda like slow talkers. I feel more relaxed with them, and less like it's a competition who will get the first word in.

On my course I learnt that men speak at an average speed of 180-200 syllables per minute.
