The young women around here wear scarves all year, but not flip flops. Although since I moved to Montana, I have seen a lot of people in sandals with socks.
Come to the shire... where thongs are appropriate food wear in every season and for every occasion. I believe the shire is keeping the haviana empire afloat.

Dear Ben,
In this country we have a phenomenon called spring. And another one called autumn.
I'm not sure that I like your tone, young lady.

Ouch. Them's fighting symbols.
I don't wear thongs and scarves, but I have been known to wear a short dress or skirt and a scarf.
Sometimes it's because I'm not cold, but when the breeze blows and I'm outside for a while I get a sore throat, so I like a bit of warmth there.
Other times it's just because I think I look cool. Little black dress, coloured scarf and ballet flats = french chic.

I did it a couple of weeks ago. Then thought better and took off the scarf. I did want some green with my outfit, though.

Japanese women seem to wear shorter skirts in winter than in summer! (Context - we're missos in Japan most of the time)
