Al- I've gotta get bowling. There's a place super close to us, yet after living here for 4 or 5 years we've still never been. How old do you reckon kids have to be to appreciate bowling?

Rodeo-Answering 'washing up' is really not in the spirit of the question at all!

Sarah- Sounds like a good day off, enjoy! Arrested Dev. is awesome, hey.

Pedro-Do you get the paper every day?

Pedro said...

Benno-not very day with the paper (mostly weekends) although Claire's mum does and its kinda nice when you get up and we sit around the table discussing headlines and stuff..

Beth-Heh, I like the word 'putzed'.And good on you for calling it 'soccer'. People over here get upset unless you call it 'football'. It'll always be soccer to me.

Amy-I wish I could spend a day finishing the books I'm reading. They've all been drawn out for way too long. I yearn for closure.

1. Are you interested in the World Cup? - enough to note the updates on the news and not want Italy to win but not enough to watch a game at a ridiculous hour of the morning.
2. Three things you'd do today if you had the day off - sax practice, assignment 2 (posted off no. 1 today), digital scrapbooking...at lest that would have been the aim but I expect the reality would have been facebook, blogs and TV. :-)
3. Do you buy newspapers? - Wednesday Courier Mail for the TV guide and because I like to read a physical newspaper other than the free local rages every so often.
4. Last thing you watched on tele - well, last night I watched Poirot and now I'm watching Find My Family
5. Last thing you watched on DVD - part of "Starlight and Time".

Ben. Our 3 year old was the only one to get a strike last time we went:)

Beth said...

Putz is that multi-use word....can also be used to describe some people.....and here in the states, it'll always be soccer...totally forgot it's football in the rest of the world.

Laetitia :-) said...

Georgina - what do the ferrets like to watch? ;-)

And I too have a number of recorded things I want to catch up on...only problem is that the less than 5 months old PVR decided it didn't want to talk to the TV anymore so we had to take it back to the Good Guys for them to send to Lidcombe NSW (glad I don't live in WA!) for repair - no idea how long it will be before it comes back, nor if the stuff I had recorded will still be on it. :-0

Georgina said...

@Laetitia - Nooooooo - I hate losing stuff I've saved. I would be just a little devastated when my HD recorder eventually dies, as all things do.

And the ferrets, well... I could say Kindergarten Cop, Along Came Polly (both with significant ferret scenes), but the truth is, that ferrets love to watch anything unusual. So me, sitting in front of a TV doesn't interest them. But should I do something, different, unusual, or even a bit weird (like move the bed to air it), then they have to be totally involved. Which can sometimes lead to slightly squashed ferret, if you're not careful. :)

Ruth said...

2. Sleep.

3. no

4. Our tele reception died many years ago...

Bonnie- Ah, good ol Hitchcock. We like those too. We have a boxset that we pull out now and then.

Wendy-#2 sadly true. even though I enjoy cooking more than E, it's logistically more difficult. Except for weekends.

Christine-3 good things to do, especially from the comfort of a bed!

Milika- sorry to hear about the CFS, I hope it eases for you soon.

Soph-Hmm, season 3. Is that where Lorelei is talking fast and holding a cup of coffee but not actually drinking it? Oh, that's every season! I secretly like GG:) E is currently watching season 5 (for the 17th time)

Laetitia-you watched Poirot? Do you know whether the cleft lip guy was the killer? I fell asleep!

Georgina-I've ummed and ah'd about getting a SMH subscription. I'd like it, but would feel guilty when I didn't get around to reading it...

Ruth-More Hitchcock! I've been wanting to watch some of those tv eps, I think I'd like them.

Simone-10 days without tele! a record?ps- a request that isn't a reques.. does that require an answer?

Simone R. said...

Ben - no answer required till I actually ask. Which will be soon.

Laetitia :-) said...

Ben - the guy with a scarred lip was a good guy (even if he was a jerk at the beginning when he didn't listen to a thing his girlfriend was trying to tell him on the phone).
