did you buy coffee somewehere else and were possibly spotted??
Maybe there was something wrong with the pen - or there was moisture on the lid meaning it wouldn't write on it.

Laetitia- If they can write 'F1', they can surely write 'our darling Ben'
Ah, but maybe you aren't "Our Ben" - maybe they have a staff member named Ben and you were given his by mistake the other time.
