Francis Schaeffer did series of lectures called "The Development of Modern Thought" and the second one in that series addresses the renaissance and the reformation. http://www.labri-ideas-library.org/
(I used to work with L'Abri in the USA and for eight years in England... LOVE that ministry... some interesting audios are also available on art and culture).
Also there is an amazing seminary in the midwest called Covenant Seminary (associated with the Presbyterian Church... the conservative branch) that has about 20 free online courses and one of those is on the Reformation and Modern Church History. It is on my "to do" list... There is also a course available on Ancient and Medieval church history. I have started through the course on Marriage and Family counseling and it is spectacular. I know a number of people who aren't in a place in life where they can take time out to go to seminary who have done all of these courses while commuting to work, etc. Very cool.

Google "Carl Trueman Reformation Lectures" and you will find a whole heap. They are top shelf.
Some very interesting links there Dawn. Thanks a bunch for that.
Dawn, that is very cool. A good use of spare time, definitely. Thanks for the links.
Thanks Craig, will check it out.
Peter, I listened to Pipers' biography of John Calvin, it was really interesting, thanks.
