Whoops. I lied. MY #5 answer was nine years ago. Ten years ago I had a 10 month old baby, a husband who'd just quit his job so we could do full-time deputation in the hope of going to Japan and a full-sized worry problem about where the money would come from for our bills.
Georgina- Sorry to hear about your cousin. What did you do in the olympics?
Simone- Asho! I live about a kilometre from there.
Christine- Hope the wedding was fun. Good ol' Werri.
Wendy- Wow, how much prep could possibly be involved for a kindy graduation?
Pedro- And good ol' Werri again! It's nice down there, hey. Just on the edge of the lagoon, behind the headland, is where we stayed after Christmas for a week.

4. It was Sunday a year ago, and I was thinking about what I could do that was nice for my mum's birthday the next day, as she was sad because it was her first birthday since her father died, and my Dad was working that day, so couldn't be with her... in the end 'E' and I took her on a ferry trip to Manly for lunch and walked around Manly for the day. It was lovely, and Mum really appreciated it.
5. AB had just started studying at Moore, and I had an 11 mth old, and was five mths pregnant with our next boy... so I'm guessing whatever I was doing, exhaustion was involved. I remember about a month before 'A's first birthday, I had horrendous nightmares about giving birth again (bit late to think about that when you're already pregnant!!)... but I was also enjoying each precious day with 'A', and loving being pregnant with 'B'. Each wonderful gifts from God.

Where were you, and what were you doing, approximately,
1. One minute ago - Reading everyone's posts on this blog
2. One day ago - Mowing (have yet to finish it - mower ran out of petrol).
3. One month ago - probably reading this blog.
4. One year ago - Feeling cheated that the previous fortnight's brush with a cyclone was a fizzer with not so much as branches down. That was Hamish. Glad we're not still in Mackay cause we didn't even have a carport in the place we were in so this weekend's much bigger storm would possibly have been much more painful for our car.
5. Ten years ago - I expect I was at work at Queensland Transport.
1. registering for a conference online 2. sitting at the dinner table, eating eggs on toast with my husband 3. at home, feeling much more relaxed because semester hadn't started 4. in our old house, about 500 metres down the road, feeling excited about my new job 5. somewhere in Brisbane, busy with my ministry job at UQ.
Thanks Ben. My cousin committed suicide, and she has 3 children (16, 14 and 10) so it was especially tough.
I was in the big choir that sat on the steps that became the fountain for Cathy to light the flame. We sang the national anthem and the piece during the flame being lit - Berlioz' Te Deum.

I'd just moved to Croydon from the Blue Mountains, into a little house above a shop. Unemployed, and playing in a band called Crusher Addison.
I grew up there (5-18) where mum and dad worked for Wycliffe. As for QLDers- I'd say nathan might have some input in that but would never tell him as he'd get a big head.

Hey Pedro, did you see the beach wedding yesterday on Werri beach?
Yeah, Christine, I sent you an email.
Small world huh?!?
We were the couple in the van right where the 'reserved for wedding' chair was and we hurriedly got out of the way before she arrived!
Hope all went welll.

That's cool that you had that experience in 2000.
Sophg- what was year 9 for, if not for angst..
Tim-PNG? How long were you over there for?

Is it just me or are a heck of a lot of you Queenslanders? I feel outnumbered.
Not allowed to call it a highschool romance I think (I will claim that technicality as we didn't go out til after we graduated.
The funny thing is my little brother is still with the girl he started going out with in high school - 9 years together. Our family must be weird...
Benno ... masters was in urban and regional planning. It's exciting stuff.
